Four steps. No admin.

Grab the installer from the button above.

  2. Run the installer

It installs just for you, so it doesn't need admin rights. Tick the box if you want a desktop shortcut.

  3. Allow it once

If SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway. Details below.

  4. Sign in and build

Sign in with your Roblox account on roblox.com, then start building. Updates are built in.

Seeing a blue warning? That's expected.

Baseplate isn't code-signed yet, so Windows doesn't recognise the publisher and shows "Windows protected your PC" the first time you run it.

Click More info, then Run anyway. You should only need to do this once for each version.

Only download Baseplate from this website. If someone sends you a copy from somewhere else, don't run it.

Runs on most Windows PCs.

Before you start.

It's early.

Baseplate is in early development. Export keeps everything in your place, but save often and keep a copy of any Studio place you open, just in case.

Updating

Built in. Use Help › Check for Updates, or switch to the beta channel to get new features first. Your projects are separate .bpproj files and are never touched.

Uninstalling

Uninstall it from Windows Settings › Apps like any other app. If you connected Roblox, you can also remove the saved key from Windows Credential Manager.
